In 2013 Evolution5 committed to develop a BIM Strategy that would enable the Company to grow its capabilities and prosper in the current and future Construction Industry. With the primary focus on project services, the Company was successfully awarded a grant by the FutureFit Built Asset programme for BIM implementation training, which all members of the Evolution5 team attended.

Each team member has been tasked with investigating, proposing and implementing new procedures for:

  • Employers’ Information Requirements
  • BIM Execution Planning
  • Information Management
  • Clash Detection
  • Construction Simulation and Programming
  • Cost Modelling
  • Project Collaboration and Common Data Environment
  • Supplier Capability Assessment

As a project management and quantity surveying practice, Evolution5 considers itself to be ideally placed to lead projects on behalf of property, construction and local authority clients. Our core skill set and capabilities best positions us to provide the services of BIM Lead (Project Manager), Information Manager (Project Manager) and Cost Manager.

Evolution5’s current BIM activities include:

  • Trailing Autodesk 360 as a suitable project collaboration tool and CDA
  • Reviewing with CSSP the capabilities of RIPA via DimensionX to interpret BIM Models to produce schedules and measured bills
  • Testing our ASTA Powerproject planning software with 3D models to determine its BIM programming abilities.
