Over the last few weeks, the Woodrising build has progressed significantly. This post actually takes us back to the arrival of BECO Wallform on site.

After saying goodbye to Hutchings & Carter for the time being, Evolution5 welcomed the first delivery of BECO Wallform to the site.

Matt Soady (Matt Soady Greenbuild) and his team of two arrived shortly after and began shifting the lightweight blocks around the site in preparation. Following this they quickly got to work putting in place the first section to take the block & beam floor.

The team’s next task was to form the dwarf walls, along the internal ground beams, also to take the block and beam floor.

The next stage in constructing the floor of Woodrising, was the first pour of concrete. Below we can see Matt Soady’s team levelling off the concrete inside the BECO Wallform blocks.

The concrete was then left to cure over a long weekend break, whilst the project team waited on the delivery of blocks and beams from CEMEX. Once the delivery has arrived a HIAB was on hired to shift the beams to the required locations.

From there, they were man handled into the correct position.

Once the beams had been shifted into the correct positions, the team placed the blocks neatly between them.BECO Wallform, Residential, Evolution5, Construction ManagementUltimately resulting in a neatly laid block and beam floor ready for the next stage.
