Ever Evolving!

Things have been busy in the Evolution5 offices of late. The long, lovely summer has ended, quite abruptly, so it seemed a good chance to reflect on the last few months.

With many exciting projects underway, we have expanded our team and welcomed three new members of staff. The team profile page is undergoing an update at the moment so please pop back over the next couple of week to find out more about them.

As part of our commitment to developing young people and nurturing the future of the industry, we have recently signed up to the Hampshire Surveying Pathways scheme. This is a work based learning programme where a student from a local secondary school joins us one day a week for two academic years. During this time, the student will learn all aspects of office life as well as gaining valuable, real-life experience of quantity surveying. So far our student is doing very well and tackling every task with enthusiasm.

This week will see six of the team head for MIPIM UK. The event is the first UK property trade show gathering professionals from across the property market and is being held for the first time at Olympia. With over 4000 people expected to attend over the three days, we are looking forward to the opportunity to making new contacts and catching up with familiar faces. If you’re coming to the market, please pop along and see us on stand C14.

Out of the office, Frank Luard, (of the bagpipe fame) recently completed his first marathon, finishing the Bournemouth Marathon in around 3 hours 48 minutes. Well done Frank!

This weekend ten of the team recently enjoyed a fantastic evening at The Joe Glover Trust Charity Ball raising money for the Hampshire based children’s cancer charity that works with families and specialist children’s cancer units across the Southern region. The event was great fun but more importantly raised much needed funds and awareness of the charity.

As ever, the team continue to work and play equally hard and there are many more exciting things in the pipeline between now and the end of 2014!
