The last Woodrising update was in December and saw the completion of the initial groundworks.

The new year hailed the arrival of welfare facilities. These were delivered on to site from Abbas Cabins and connected to the services by Michael Scott Services Ltd. Although, not a CDM project, Evolution5, the Client and Construction Manager, Simon Hodges, felt strongly that suitable welfare facilities should be provided in the best interests of health, safety and management of everyone working on the project.

Since the start of 2015, Neil Foundations have come onto site and completed the piling operations. Over a busy 5 days, a total of 36 piles were completed with no issues arising. This was both ahead of programme and in line with the Cost Plan. Below are some images of the Continuous Flight Auger piling process at Woodrising.

Stage 1 - The rig drilled to an average depth of 14m

After successful completion of the piling process, we welcomed Hutchings & Carter (Groundworks) back to site to complete the ground beams and lay the internal drainage lines.
