Evolution5 has recently been appointed as Employers Agent by Greenwich Islamic Centre (GIC) for the internal fit-out of Phase 1A of their new facility in Plumstead, Greenwich.
The existing building constructed in 2011, comprises three storeys and a basement which is linked to the original mosque building. Unfortunately for GIC, complications and contractual restraints meant that the building was not completed at that time. The building includes a multi-purpose hall, main prayer hall, atrium space, and ancillary facilities.
As Employers Agent, Evolution5 will be overseeing the scope of works for Phase 1A which comprises:
- Mechanical and electrical installations
- Sprinkler system to the basement
- Fire protection to steel frame
- Tanking to the basement
- Internal partitions
- Wall and ceiling finishes
- New lighting
- Balustrading
- External repairs
- External doors and windows
APC Building Services (Principal Contractor) team has been extremely diligent and has been implementing social distancing measures in accordance with government guidelines for Covid-19.
