Evolution5 is appointed as CDM Advisor to the Principal Designer on New Park Gate, a mixed-use scheme in Park Gate, Southampton.
The scheme designed by architects R&R Design Studio provides quality residential living and a restaurant at ground floor level. The flats are a mix of one and two bedroom and are designed with an open plan living theme. 14 flat are provided on the upper floors of a three storey building.
The site itself has presented several challenges from the outset and a highly complex construction test for the Principal Contractor. The extent of the structure covers the entirety of the site, which has left very little room to manoeuvre construction vehicles providing onsite logistics and deliveries. In addition to the extent of the site, the site slopes dramatically presenting inherent issues with material and plant movements from one end to the other.
The scheme for Just Develop It is currently in the construction phase nearing completion. The Principal Contractor Herringate Construction, expect completion in 2020.
