Evolution5 has been commissioned to provide cost consultancy and quantity surveying services on behalf of Colliers International who manage Oasis Business Park on behalf of the owner, Staffordshire County Council.
Having been empty for many years, Units 1-5 were in a dated, dilapidated condition and beyond rentable condition.
Evolution5 is appointed to undertake cost planning, procurement strategy, tender management and construction using the JCT D&B contract solution.
This will enable Staffordshire County Council to have the office units refurbished, restoring them to a rentable condition and in turn providing an income for the authority.
The project scope of works comprises:
- Complete overhaul of the curtain wall system
- New lift
- Fire protection to the steel frame
- Formation of a new plant room
- Internal partitions
- Wall and ceiling finishes
- New lighting
- Provision of new IT and data infrastructure
- External repairs
The Principal Contractor is Amiri Construction and the team has been extremely diligent throughout the works, including implementing safe methods of working and adhering to social distancing measures in accordance with Covid-19 government guidelines.
In addition to the work at Oasis Business Park, Evolution5 is also working to extend and convert a commercial building into a leisure facility for the Gym Group. The construction phase is due to commence in September 2020.
