Evolution5 was appointed by the main contractor, Mansell Construction to provide contract management services for an outpatients and ward block. The new facility was constructed on the site at Worthing Hospital.
The clinical building provided a modern outpatients’ department on the ground floor with 24 consultation rooms and three treatment rooms. The first floor accommodated two 19-bed wards and the roof space contained administration offices. The facility achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’, which was achieved through ventilation recovery to improve the efficiency of the central air source heat pump during periods of low ambient temperature and heat reclaim to assist with production of domestic hot water.
The new building drastically improved facilities for thousand of patients that use outpatient appointments each year. The wards increased much-needed capacity.
